Style Evolution: Kareena Kapoor ...A self-confessed "jeans and T-shirt girl", in the beginning Kareena Kapoor was better known for her on-screen style than anywhere else. From her debut film Refugee in 2000, her most memorable sartorial moments have been certifiably celluloi d. Case in point: the red bustier and leather pants combo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, that showed off a hard-won flat stomach. Things fluctuated with more misses than hits until 2007: the birth of Kareena 'Size Zero' Kapoor. Having the most-discussed vital stats in the country comes with its own set of privileges. While Manish Malhotra remained her go-to designer for red carpet events, the actress began to experiment with shorter hemlines, tighter silhouettes and even gowns with thigh-high slits. Extravagant evening gowns from Blumarine and Pale Ka were flown down from Paris and Milan, adding variety to her former staple diet of net saris with backless cholis. Heels reached stratospheric heights, and the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Sandal was inducted into the Bollywood Walk of Fame.
