had a spectial section which was devoted to the splendor of ‘The Maharajas of India’.
It involved sashes, exaggerated fringed epaulets, frogging, embroidery Jackets, and crowns—some of them apparently constructed of the models’ hair.
The Indian princes in their bejeweled turbans and trompe l’oeil beaded zebra tunics and jodhpurs emerged most sumptuously, Lets see Indian Culture through the eyes of Mr. Gaultier.

Seems like The Indian Maharaja has straight walked his way to the Runway
going to charm his beloved with a flower in hand. An Interpretation in
all its glory with silver sheen coming through the fabrics, Rich
accessories & Drapes and an absolutely fantastic Turban with a
Broach . The shoulder straps on the Jacket and the lapels are well accessorized. No overdone embroideries and yet it is so complete of the
look and Appeal of the Theme, Good work i must say.
A Royal attire of the Royal Indian prince in pure silk Brocade, teamed
up with a shaded Mauve stole. The Turban looks incredibly amusing and
adds glory to the Maharaja theme !!
Antique gold embroidery around the neckline and through the centre front
placat as seen on the attires of Indian Princes looks great on this
empire style top, The accessories and the Skirt looks Interesting.
